Het is het grootste deel van het resort qua oppervlakte, georganiseerd in alfabetisch benoemde zones die de helling beklimmen, van zones C en D onderaan omhoog door E en F, tot zone G hoog bij het SO\/ Sotogrande hotel. Valderrama, gastheer van de Ryder Cup 1997 en meer recentelijk LIV Golf, ligt in het hart. Kurkeikenbos, glooiende heuvels en, vanuit de hogere straten, uitzicht dat zich over de Middellandse Zee uitstrekt naar Gibraltar en op heldere dagen naar de bergen van Marokko.<\/p>\n<p>De reputatie zijn grand villa's op grand percelen, maar het is gevarieerder dan dat. Vrijstaande villa's, tussenwoningen en enkele appartementen staan naast de landmark-landgoederen. Architectuur loopt van klassieke Andalusische cortijo-stijl woningen tot eigentijdse glas-en-pool villa's. Het beste zeezicht is in de hogere F- en G-zones en de Altos de Valderrama-enclave. Vergeleken met de kust is het groener, friszinniger en privater, grenzend aan de kurkeikenbossen van Los Alcornocales.<\/p>\n<h2>Wie woont er in Sotogrande Alto?<\/h2>\n<p>Spaanse families naast langgevestigde Britse, Duitse, Scandinavische en Belgische bewoners. Golf en polo brengen velen van hen hier, Valderrama en de Santa Mar\u00eda Polo Club bepalen de sociale kalender. Veel families hebben kinderen op Sotogrande International School.
