Calanova Collection, a private residential community facing Calanova Golf in La Cala de Mijas, with 154 homes in low, terraced buildings that step down the hillside. Ground floors come with a private garden, apartments with deep terraces and penthouses with a rooftop solarium, all with two or three bedrooms, an underground parking space and a storage room.

The stepped architecture opens each home to the same wide panorama: the golf course below, the Mediterranean on the horizon and, on clear winter days, the snow-covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada. Outdoor space is the rule rather than the exception. Penthouses add a solarium with a private jacuzzi, and many ground floors have a jacuzzi on the garden terrace.

The shared areas work like a small resort. The spa has a sauna and a Turkish bath, the gym sits next to an indoor golf simulator, and two salt-treatment outdoor pools, one of them an infinity pool with a waterfall edge, anchor the gardens and the chill-out area. A wine cellar, video surveillance at the entrances, motorised gates and courtesy and buggy parking outside complete the picture, and an app-based concierge, available for an extra fee, handles restaurant bookings, airport transfers or a private chef at home.

Inside, the homes are organised around an open-plan living room and kitchen, with island layouts, quartz worktops and full fittings. Living rooms and master bedrooms have motorised aluminium blinds, bathrooms have a thermostatic shower column and an electric towel rail, and a heat pump supplies hot water, heating and cooling. Lifts connect the homes with the garage, which has monitored ventilation.

The Calanova Golf Club, an 18-hole course known for its views, is less than three minutes on foot from the gate: from the front door to the first tee without getting in the car. The shops, restaurants and beaches of La Cala de Mijas are ten minutes away by car and Marbella twenty, so a car stays part of everyday life; in exchange, evenings are quiet and the fairways are the closest neighbours.
