Goedendag
Buenas Noches is a small, well-established district on the western edge of Estepona, about 5km from the town centre along the coastal A-7 towards Sabinillas and Puerto Duquesa. It sits on both sides of the highway — villas and urbanisations on the mountain side, apartment blocks closer to the sea — and is effectively the last part of Estepona before the boundary with Casares municipality. That boundary runs roughly along the Arroyo de la Galera stream to the east and a point near the Buenas Noches Repsol station to the west, with Casares Costa immediately beyond.
The coast here has its own beach, Playa de la Galera: a quieter, coarser-sand stretch about 2km long, bordered by the small rocky islet of Piedra Paloma, with clear views across to the Rock of Gibraltar and, on good days, the coast of North Africa. Inland, the profile of Sierra Bermeja rises behind the urbanisations.
Day-to-day life here is low-key. Long-established communities such as Galera Homes, Jardines de Nueva Galera and Galera Park make up most of the housing, mainly apartment blocks with communal pools and gardens, alongside a smaller number of individual villas and townhouses. There is a modest strip of services on the coast road — a Repsol station with a shop, laundry, ATM and courier point, a couple of independent restaurants, and a long-running two-star hotel — but for a supermarket, banks or a wider choice of shops, residents head into Estepona town, San Luis de Sabinillas or Puerto Duquesa, all a short drive or bus ride away.
Waar is Buenas Noches?
Wie woont er in Buenas Noches?
A mix of long-term residents settled in the established urbanisations and holiday-home owners drawn by the beach, the quiet setting and easy access to both Estepona and the Sabinillas/Puerto Duquesa side. Being the far western edge of the municipality, it reads more as a small residential community than the larger, newer developments closer to Estepona town.
