Guadalmina Alta ELEVATED GOLF LIVING WITH MOUNTAIN VIEWS

What is Guadalmina Alta?

Guadalmina Alta sits on the inland side of the Guadalmina Golf courses, rising gently toward the foothills. The area offers larger plots and more affordable entry points than its beachside neighbour, Guadalmina Baja.

Properties here enjoy views toward La Concha mountain and the Sierra Blanca range, with the golf fairways forming a green buffer between the neighbourhood and the coast road. It is a popular choice for families seeking space and value within the Marbella municipality.

Guadalmina Alta in 2026

The club is the centre of life here, and it is a members' club in the old sense: Real Club de Golf Guadalmina has more than 2,000 members of 17 nationalities and a clubhouse at the Guadalmina Alta end. The Sur course, by Javier Arana in 1959, par 72 and about 6,200 metres, runs down to the sea, and the Norte course sits on the inland side next to the houses; 18 holes on the Sur tops out around 180 euros, and the pitch and putt is where many local children learn, all compared in our golf courses guide. Stock is small and mostly land. At the time of writing (October 2026) we have a building plot at about 985,000 euros and a three bedroom villa at about 1.5 million tagged to Guadalmina Alta, on our San Pedro de Alcántara property page, and one new project, Breeze, four homes from about 690,000, with the rest of the area's new build on our Marbella new developments page. On the beach side the Senda Litoral now links Guadalmina to the San Pedro promenade and on to Puerto Banús, in our coastal path post. Marbella's prices rose more than 20 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2026 according to Tinsa, in our Marbella market post, and Guadalmina Alta is one of the places that still has plots to build on. The neighbours have their own guides: Guadalmina Baja on the beach side, Nueva Alcántara and San Pedro de Alcántara to the east, Linda Vista up the hill, and Atalaya and El Paraíso across the river in Estepona, with the town in our Marbella guide.

Both, in a sense. Guadalmina Alta belongs to San Pedro de Alcántara, which is a district of the municipality of Marbella, so the town hall and the taxes are Marbella’s and the postcode and the daily life are San Pedro’s. Our listings file it under San Pedro de Alcántara.

What is for sale in Guadalmina Alta in 2026?

At the time of writing, a building plot at about 985,000 euros, a three bedroom villa at about 1.5 million, and the four new homes at Breeze from about 690,000. Guadalmina Alta is one of the few golf neighbourhoods in Marbella where plots still come up, which is why self builders look here.
