Doña Julia is a low-rise residential area on the Casares coastline, built up gradually around Doña Julia Golf Club — an 18-hole, par-71 course (5,976m) designed in 2005 by Antonio García Garrido, with sea views from several holes and a clubhouse restaurant. What started as a single golf development has grown into a broader residential corridor, with apartment and townhouse schemes from several independent developers going up around the course rather than one master-planned estate under a single brand.

The area's profile was raised further in 2022 with the opening of Conrad Costa del Sol, Hilton's first Conrad-branded luxury property in Spain, built on a site of over 50,000 sqm by Markway Inversiones (Platinum Estates Group). The hotel sits alongside the golf course and has become a reference point for the wider area, drawing in dining and spa custom from residents as well as guests.

Current new-build activity in Doña Julia includes Abril, Alura Living and Hacienda Casares, all independent projects from separate developers. Via Celere's Célere Doña Julia (104 apartments) was also built here but is now sold out, so it no longer represents an available buying opportunity — worth flagging to buyers who come across older listings referencing it as if units were still on offer. Frontline-golf penthouses in the area have traded in the roughly €525,000–€1,500,000 range depending on plot, phase and finish level.
