La Resina takes its name from La Resina Golf & Country Club, the 9-hole course (par 3 and par 4 holes) the development is built around. The course was designed by Craig Cooke and Bradley Smith and opened in 2005. It closed in 2021 and has since reopened under ESY Golf Management. This is what sets La Resina apart from other developments on the New Golden Mile that also use the name commercially, such as Oasis 325 La Resina and Altezza Suites, which sit closer to the coast and are not attached to the golf course itself.
The area sits inland in the hills above the A-7, on the Selwo / Estepona East side of the motorway, rather than directly on the coast road. That inland, elevated position means sea views from higher units, but it also means the beach is a walk over hilly terrain rather than a flat stroll — allow around 10 minutes on foot to Playa de Guadalobón, longer than the flatter beachfront developments nearby.
Nearby amenities that are well established and easy to verify include the Kempinski Hotel Bahía Estepona and Healthouse Las Dunas wellness clinic, both a short drive away, along with local schools and a pharmacy serving the Selwo area. Property here is mostly apartments and townhouses built around the golf course, aimed at buyers who want golf on the doorstep and are comfortable with a short drive or walk to the beach.
La Resina in 2026

The new build around the course is what is for sale: at the time of writing (October 2026) we offer Royal Park Residence, 49 apartments from about 799,000 euros, and Altezza Suites from about 790,000, both marketed under the La Resina name, on our Estepona new developments page; resales, when we have them, on our Estepona property page.
