Puente Romano sits on Marbella's Golden Mile, on the beachfront strip between Marbella town and Puerto Banús. The estate grew up around the Puente Romano Beach Resort hotel, opened in the late 1970s, and today combines the hotel with privately owned apartments, penthouses and villas spread through landscaped, Andalusian-style gardens down to the sand.
The resort's dining and leisure offer is one of the most concentrated on the coast: restaurants include Nobu, COYA, Dani García Brasserie, GAIA, La Petite Maison and Sea Grill, alongside the Six Senses Spa and a beach club with several bar and restaurant outlets. The Puente Romano Tennis Club, built in 1979, has 8 clay courts, 1 hard court and 8 padel courts, and has hosted ATP and WTA tour events and Davis Cup and Fed Cup ties over the decades. Padel has become a growing part of the club's profile in recent years, with professional exhibitions and events on the Costa del Sol circuit drawing current tour players to the area.
Property here trades at a premium to most of the Golden Mile: resale apartments and townhouses typically run in the EUR 4,500-7,000 per sqm range, with new-build beachfront product priced above EUR 9,000 per sqm. Stock is a mix of long-standing resale units from the original 1970s-80s development phases and newer, renovated or rebuilt product within the same gated grounds.
Puente Romano in 2026
The resort had its loudest week of the year in June, when the Reserve Cup padel series came to the tennis club and Carlos Alcaraz turned up to watch, with the world number one in padel, Arturo Coello, playing, all in our post on the Reserve Cup. That post also carries the numbers we use for this stretch: resale on the Golden Mile broadly trades between 4,500 and 7,000 euros per square metre depending on condition and views, and new build on the beach side of the coast road with sea views has been consistently above 9,000. Stock inside the resort is thin because owners rarely sell. At the time of writing (October 2026) we have two apartments at Marina Puente Romano, a one bedroom at about 3.25 million euros and a three bedroom at about 4.5 million, on our Marbella property page. Where exactly is Puente Romano on the Golden Mile?
On the beach side of the Golden Mile coast road, roughly halfway between Marbella old town and Puerto Banús, about 3 kilometres from each. The resort takes its name from the small Roman bridge over the stream that runs through the grounds. The Marbella Club is its neighbour to the east.
Is Nobu at Puente Romano?
Yes. Nobu Marbella is inside the Puente Romano resort, together with the Nobu Hotel, and shares the plaza with COYA, GAIA, La Petite Maison, Dani García and Sea Grill. The restaurants are open to the public, not only to hotel guests and owners.
