La Gaspara sits west of Estepona town, between the N-340/A-7 coast road and Valle Romano Golf, on the stretch of coastline toward San Pedro de Alcántara and Marbella. It is a residential neighbourhood of newer villa, townhouse and apartment developments rather than a historic village or a single branded resort — there is no developer name or resort brand attached to the area as a whole, just a cluster of individual urbanisations built up over the past two decades.
The area's main draw is proximity: villas here typically sit on plots of around 1,250 to 2,500 square metres, smaller and more suburban than the large fincas found further inland toward the hills, and a short walk or drive puts residents on the beach — real estate listings for the area consistently cite a beach, referred to locally as Playa la Gaspara (part of the wider Guadalobon coastline), within 500 to 800 metres of the properties. Valle Romano Golf, a course designed by Cabell B. Robinson with its own clubhouse and the Columela restaurant, borders the area and is one of its defining amenities.
Residents are a mix of full-time homeowners and holiday-home buyers drawn to the combination of new-build housing stock, golf on the doorstep, and quick beach access without being inside Estepona's busier town centre or right on the seafront strip.
La Gaspara in 2026
La Gaspara is new build territory and the pipeline shows it. At the time of writing (October 2026) we list Zenity Blau II, apartments and penthouses from about 495,000 to 750,000 euros, and Azure, a two bedroom ground floor apartment at about 555,000, both tagged to La Gaspara on our Estepona new developments page, and a two bedroom resale apartment at about 445,000 on our Estepona property page. Valle Romano Golf, on the edge of the area, is an 18 hole par 72 at about 73 euros a round, rated 4.4 on Google from 1,350 reviews, one of the better value rounds in our golf courses guide, and the estate around it has its own guide.
