Elviria Marbella's established east-side beach district

Qu'est-ce qu'Elviria ?

Elviria is a long-established residential district on Marbella's eastern coast, about 6 km — roughly a 10-minute drive — from the old town. It developed as low-density housing among pine trees and cork oaks, and its higher streets look out over the Mediterranean toward Gibraltar and, on clear days, the African coast, with the Sierra Nevada visible inland.

The district has its own commercial centre with banks, supermarkets and restaurants, and its beach — home to the Nikki Beach Marbella club — sits behind a protected dune system. Golf is available within the area at Santa Clara Golf Marbella, an 18-hole, par-71 course. Several hotels operate locally, including Marriott's Marbella Beach Resort and the Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa.

Elviria has long attracted international families and long-term expat residents. English International College is based within the district, and two further international schools — the German school (Colegio Aleman Juan Hoffmann) and ECOS — operate in neighbouring La Mairena, which is often considered part of greater Elviria.
